History
The branch was dedicated October 1, 1988. Original square footage was 9,000 squarefeet. Construction for the subsequent renovation began November 3, 1998; re-openedNovember 17, 1999, with square feet at 12,040. The branch is named for the area it isin, known as Forest Hills.

Collections & Services
71,111 volumes including videos, DVDs, audiobooks, read-alongs, and music CDs.
Primarily serves schools in the Northside Independent School District. Also serves SanAntonio Independent School District and Edgewood Independent School District. Servesfour elementary schools, two middle schools, and one high school all in close proximity tothe library branch. Eduardo Villarreal Elementary School is located next door. InternationalBible College is also a neighbor. St. Mary”s University is approximately two milesfrom the branch.
St. Dominic”s Church is within a mile of the location. Next door to the church is theHenry B. Gonzalez Home for Senior Citizens. Ingram Park Mall is approximately 2 milesfrom the branch. The mall is often used as a reference point to direct patrons to the library.
